Battle of Blountville Civil War Reenactment
The Battle of Blountville Civil War Reenactment is held annually at the beautiful Old Hawley Farm in Blountville, Tennessee. The event is now in its 14th year and the participants always put on an excellent demonstration.
The reenactment commemorates The Battle of Blountville, sometimes called Battle of Blountsville, which was a battle of the American Civil War, occurring on September 22, 1863, in Sullivan County, Tennessee. It was the beginning of the Union’s attempts to drive the Confederate forces from East Tennessee and securing the saltworks in southwestern Virginia.
